Dr. William Tellman of Castleton Family Dentistry is just one area dentist who offers the treatment. "People sometimes go through episodes of migraines. I would say, wear the device at that time. If you're not having them, you don't have to wear it every day. But some people do have them so frequently that they would need to wear that every day."

The device works on the concept that many people with migraines actually clench their teeth at night while they sleep. Company: Mouth Guards Can Prevent Migraines

The Food and Drug Administration has approved a nighttime mouth guard that a company says can ease and prevent migraines.

The mouth guard, called Nociceptive Trigeminal Inhibition Tension Suppression System, or NTI-tss, fits over a person's two front teeth.
